I just finished reading Maurice and the amazing rodents. I had been looking on Andrea's blog. It was rather interesting- but I think it was too hard for my 9 and 10 year old readers. I also got the Changling and the other book she suggested. We should have something on the side of the blog to discuss books. I have read some really good ones on Kristy's recommendations too. Especially Life as we knew it.

Isn't this fun?!?!?! Its Delia Grad- a small town next to us. In each tractor is a prom couple in their prom dresses and tuxes.

I spent the whole afternoon unpicking ALL the rows of the top and bottom borders and pressing them and sewing them back together. I really learned the importance of ironing each piece. :-(
he job chart the kids made. So far its working pretty good. The 2nd one is the border of lthe quilt I made.

Montey, Judy, LaVerle and Jack do you know who these people are?

This is the quilt I took the class for. It takes 12 fat quarters and the sashing. But i have to have a quilt big enough to be useful so I doubled it (2 each of 12 prints) and i needed one more square. I didn't want to buy 12 tiny pieces of material so we just coordinated a center piece. It still has a really fun border that i haven't finished yet.

Tashena has asked me for about a year now to teach her to sew. We finally started on a quilt for her. She was really excited. If she finishes this whole quilt ( and I will tach her to tie it) she could help sew some of the patchwork ones I am making for christmas. :-) And one more quilt done for christmas!!!! Only a hundred to go-- not quite lol

One of the suggestion for kids keeping their room clean was taking a picture of it when it was clean and putting it up for them to see. We took the girls bunk beds down and reaarranged their room. Also is Josh's room ll nice and clean. I think we need to have Mckenzie do something about the writing on the wall that happened when it was her room. :-(

I finished another quilt for christmas!!!! I also worked on two quilt tops today. One was for the class I took and it was a lot of piecing. I got all 24 blocks pieced together and the edge around each block. The other quilt top was a panel that i had to add on to -to make it twin bed size.

Hello All. I am in vancover with Shane and Charlotte and their baby Cameron. He had to have an operation , something to do with his food couldn't go where it needed to, to be digested so it came back up. He seems to be doing well and so far after two feedings he has kept it down. I think its the same kind of thing Montey had as a baby. The weather is gorgeous in Vernon B.C and everything is so green.

This is our new deacon. He is the only deacon in our branch!!!!! Colt was the next youngest member to pass the sacrament in our branch and he is on his mission now. The next deacon aged boy is a year and a half younger and then the next is several years younger. Josh loves passing the sacrament. As he sat in combined relief society -priesthood meeting last week he said" I'm glad I'm not a little kid any more. They are sio annoying.!" LOL

Andrea got me all excited about christmas when she posted that she had wrapped her christmas eve jammies! There is only seven months left :-(. So I got busy and tied and hemmed a quilt and took to Utah to be stored until christmas and I finished tying another one yesterday. And I made Ta'merra's christmas nightie yesterday. I have the material for most of the christmas jammies but I don't usually start until Nov. It would be neat to have someplace to report the progress of our christmas sewing/building.
