This is a mother child carving i got from the Dominican. I love mother child pictures and carvings.
Now this bear has quite a story. I had a friend go to Stettler yesterday and I asked her what she had got me. She told me ( she collects black bears) that she got me a $600 dollar bear.So we discussed the bear for a while names etc. Then she said "the bear got out while we were at wal-mart. Can't see any prints. Checked around can't see him. We will check diary queen." Next txt said. "He got out. He did not listen to me. There were a bunch of dollar store toys for him to play with." " Well he did take the large bag of rice pops so we are following them. It appears he is headed towards drum." And so on. Well today when I got to church Beth was there ( she just had major knee surgery) and she said she had found the bear and he was here.Told me he had a bad attitiude last night when she made him put the bell on!!! Note the rice pops? That was so fun of her. It mlakes me smile when I see the bear. This little bear is bound to have some fun times.

My camera isn't the best and when I zoomed it it was fuzzy. Also tlhey moved so fast and my camera is slow but we got what pictures we could. I got really cute paper to scrapbook their dance and of course we have one professional picture to save us.This is Tashena middle front.

Along the bench are little shops and the owners are hard core high pressure sales people. Louise has been going twice a year for three years. She has made a friend named Fernando who owns one of the huts. He knows Louise and her friends( she brings many) don't like to bargain and he makes good deals. This is pictures of his store.

On our tour through the very poorest part of town. Louise was handing out toy cars. I had a few pages of stickers I had brought. Another time I will know. But this isn't an offered tour. We requested a guide to take us.
There is metal guards on EVERY house for protection

Our group lwent on a tour to the rum factory.

The beds on the beach and they swayed. I loved it. And note the bunk beds!!!

The Casa Blanca where we ate breakfast and lunch every day, joined by the birds that came to eat there too.
