Okay not in the order I want again but this is the bottom row.
Some of the other rows

A picture of my strip quilt. I got the idea from Leslie the last time I went to California.Dug it out to finish for expected grandchild. Now I need to find a boy quilt to make.

Sorry didn't mean for this picture to get in here. Its a picture of Josh taking a picture(duh) for his book report that was supposed to be a serious of ten pictures with sentences about the book.

Okay so I was cleaning my sewing scrapbook room and that carried over into cleaning out my scrapbook drawers. I can't believe the junk I got rid of. Duplicate pictures and many cards and school papers etc. Then I put each group of pictures into categories of the kids they were. I found christmas eve jammie pictures for the last two years for Mckenzie who said I didn't have pictures of them!!!! Any way I do this sorting of pictures periodically. So I am excited to go scrapbook tomorrow. I also found a couple of layouts I liked and had printed off.
Tomorrow i am going scrapbooking all day with some ladies in my church.I am so not creative and I was wondering what to take. On Twylla's and Sheena's blog it had some pictures of layouts that I copied off. Last night I had a brainstorm!!! I am going to make layouts with all the ladies ideas and then put the pictures on later. I am really quite excilted to get all their ideas.
We ( Ta'merra and I) have been studying those words shown earlier on pink cards, every day this week. I was really discouraged because she just was not seeming to remember any of them. This morning in her book bag was her test results on the words and she got 7 out of 8, 6 out of 9 and 6 out of 8!!!!! I was really excited and it gives me incenitive to keep trying. Also Josh took his book report in today and its not due until Monday. Major major accomplishment. This one was a picture segment in 10 parts. We even cut words out of a newspaper to copy one of the parts in the book and took a picture of Josh taking a picture for the photographer and Josh drew pictures. One part in the book I thought was ironically funny. The main charector was getting hate mail about his dad being an convict and that the kid shouldn't play football because of that. The word picture was a man in jail stripes serving a clock. HA HA a man serving time!!!! Josh is anohter one of my kids that really struggles with homework so this was a mojor project for the week and I really hope the teachers recognizes that it is done and passed in EARLY. I cut out nit-shirts yesterday and some squares for my quilt. Trying to decide if there is a certain way I should sew it togather. I don't think I have enough squares of one kind to make a pattern so I guess the true patchwork quilt is all the scraps sewn together.

I got the nicest compliment from Sheena. It really made my day and that coupled iwth the flylady message about "when is enough and want versus need" I decided to make some more t-shirts. I only have plain colors left and I will make sure to add inches to the lenght. I have also been crocheting baby blankets for expected new gtandbaby. Not knowing what I am doing both girl and boy. I somehow thught i had unlimited blankets with holes in from before we moved but I am down to two. :-( Yesterday I rounded up all the shoes and mitts and matched them. Then we threw away worn out shoes ,odd mitts and had a rather large bag of shoes the kids had grown out of ( or otherwise) Just then my mother in law turned up and she took the shoes to store them for the next rummage sale. That was great because I am trying to declutter. I was going to work downstairs today but have grandkids here so I am going to cut out t-shirts and squares.

These are the kind of pictures we need to take for Treydon's picture cards.
sock
his favorite meal mac and cheese

another favorite pizza pops

bathroom

tub And then we are supposed to put them on a belt so when he cannot find his word he can pull the card out. And it reinforces the word. We haven't been too on the ball getting these done. The school did it the next day!

This what we are dong every night with Ta'merra. Somedays she gets the words and somedays not. Yesterday was the 2nd day on these words and she was not getting a single one even though she had got some the night before. But when we read one of her books she did really well for her??????
One of my favorite christmas presents. Mckenzie gave it to me and it is right under the family picture with everyone photoshopped in. The other sign under the pictures says "Family is where your story begins." A dear friend Laura gave that to me last christmas. Talking of signs Jared and Stephanie gave me one a few years ago that says" A Family is a patchwork of love." because of the differant nationalities we have in our family.

This is me ! Mama Hart on the WII. It is fun to be excercising and see my kids( the MII they made of themselves)

Okay so not in the order I wanted but here gos. I have been excercising really hard and really watching what I eat. Did you know ramen noodles have 370 caleries and a can of chunky beef soup with veggies in only has 170? Anyway here is what i am excercising on. WII FIT
I made some t-shirts to take to the dominican with me. I cut out all the t-shirt material I had and when I started to sew them they were really short and wide. I was so disapointed. Its not like I have never sewn t-shirts before.

This is what i really want to be doing. Cutting out the squares from the left over christmas jammie material and working on my memory quilt. I am going to put the year I made the jammies on one of eash square and I decided to also put the name of the person it was made for. I don't have some from every year but I do have some from over 10 years ago.

So when I was in walmart yesterday I found some t-shirts for three dollars. I got some little boy and little girl and a little bigger girls but forgot to look for little bigger boys. They are for the trip[,now I don't feel guilty working on my quilt. I have three differant quilts I really want to work on plus two wall hanging I got to work on for next christmas.

What a beutiful girl! I was scrapbooking and this picture really stood out how pretty Shaylee is. In other news Mckenzie and I spent the day lost in Calgary yesterday. We went to get her passport and we got there no problem. But we had problems finding the other places we wanted to go. We were trying to find sunday dresses for my two girls aged 9 and 10. We couldn't find anything in Sears or Zellars or the malls. I couldn't find Army and Navy which I was told had some dresses. Lynn where do you go to get your daughter dresses? And for you that don't know----TA DA Ed and Mckenzie and I are going to the Dominican in April with Larry and LaVerle. I have never been on any kind of trip like this and we are very excited.

I guess I have to revise my January goals and its only half way thorugh the month. I need to spend a lot more time with Josh on reading and also Ta'merra on reading. Any opinions on wether it is better to get word cards or just keep trying easy books for a beginner? So I will not get all the scrapbooking done( I did print off a lot of birthday, halloween and christmas pictures) And I was told how important it was to make picture word cards for Treydon to wear and we bought the key chain thingy to attach the cards to his belt but we haven't made them yet.So I guess my ammended list looks like this.
1.Exercise
2.Josh reading
3.Make Treydon's picture word cards
4.Ta'merra reading
5. Finish the store room.
6. And if I'm lucky I may get some scrapbooking done and maybe cut a few squares for the quilt.

I was only gone over one night and I think all tomorrow will be cleaning the house and catching laundry up again. I'm so lucky to have a daughter to help me dress the younger kids cute and in 'style'. We bought the cutest -ah sorry - coolest hoodie for Josh. NOw if we can get this boy to worry a little more about cleanliness and hygiene.!
We went to the banquet friday night and had such a good time. We sat with Ed's mom and brother and his girlsfriend. It was a wonderful roast beef dinner and then this young man entertained us. He is just 18 and comes from a ranch in St. Paul Alberta. But you can see how well he has done. What made the night was so wonderful is that he played to the main age group that was there which was in their seventies. He sang songs that they all knew and they loved it. Plus he lhad an amazing voice. Please anyone who reads this who has heard of him comment because as you can see he has performed for large large crowds in Edmonton and we had never heard of him.
Saturday morning Mckenzie and I headed to Edmonton to go shopping with Colter for his mission. Colt was really lucky in that he found some fantastic sales on the brand of dress shoes that we knew would last the best. He also go 10% off on his suits but he still spent a bundle. He said he almost felt sick after he left the suit store. But he really liked trying on the coat and shoes for us. We didn't even leave West Edmonton Mall until 10;30. Its TOO BIG for me and TOO MANY people!!!!!! And the kind of stuff I like they don't even have! Material. Sunday morning Colt made us a nice breakfast and we just lazed around and visited. Coincindently we ran into Daniel in Camrose on our way home and I was really glad to follow him as the weather was supposed to be bad and I'm was not really sure of the way home, but we only hit bad weather for maybe ten minutes.

I woke up this morning and for the first time in a week my body did not ache all over. I guess it is finally getting used to me exercising!Nothing exciting happening here, just working on my January goals which didn't seem too many until I added the everyday stuff like laundry, dishes, cleaning and homework. Homework is a biggie for two of my kids that really need a lot of help, encouragement and patience. Tonight we are going to a banquet the crime watch association puts on and Ed's brother always gives us tickets because his wife is very involved. Tomorrow Mckenzie and I are going to Edmonton to go missionary shopping with Colt. That should be fun.I have cut some squares out for the jammie quilt and I did get Treydon's scrapbook done ( except for the special summer shots I am waiting to do with LaVerle) Today I am getting all the rest of the pictures printed.

I have got three christmas presents on the way!?! Two I have to make. Last night I couldn't sleep and I thought about christmas presents. Several of my older kids always wants quilts. Plus I need to make some baby quilts :-)
My January Goals.
1.Exercise
2.Rearrange my storage room to better store christmas boxes.
3.Catch up the five youngest childrens scrapbooks.
4.Maybe start cutting on the christmas jammie quilt.
5. Clean out one drawer or shelf a day.
