Herbs and vitamins

Judy what do you think of these? Went to ask for Asiak tea and she said this tea was a good one to use in between the other tea. And also the Coconit oil is supposed to be good for depression, something to do with cancer and as an added bonus something to do with weight loss!

I love before and after pictures. So today I began! I am going to share my "sewing" room with Ta'merra and make it her bedroom again. Not sure where I will put my scrapbooking stuff but i will still have my sewing machine in there and the folding table to cut and scrapbook on but I will have all the other material downsairs. The room looks worse than usual because I was already sorting the material.

I have a daughter in law who doesn't believe in christmas?! She was giving me all the reasons - economical- greed etc stress etc etc. I thought about it and she was saying we start giving to too many people etc. I thought back to when her husband was a paper boy and how much he appreciated the christmas gifts from the people on his route. Anyway as I was thinking of it I have to agree that you can spend too much money and stress out etc but you don't have too. I stress out- but its a good kind of stress- trying to get the people I love just the right thing- or what I think is the right thing. And yes we give to teachers now that we are in a small town again. But we are giving gifts they can use up and for our one male teacher we are giving a home made pie.( not made by me- thank goodness) I really enjoying being able to make some of the things. And by the way my son( husband of the non believer) wants me to give him a quilt for christmas! And on the way home from church today I had a sudden brain storm and I know exactly what I am giving LaVerle for christmas! DUH!!!
Okay I will get the hang of this blog sooner or later and will stop posting empty posts :} So the summer is nearly over and school starts here in another week. The girls Tashena, Shaylee and Ta'merra and Josh got to go to two- week long camps. they had lots of fun. (Ta'merra only went to one- but she did fantastic- didn't get homesick - of course she had sisters and brothers there)Kenzie had gone the week before them and about 2/3 of the campers got sick. The 24 hour flu. Kenzie got it the day she came home. They were hope-ing the younger campers wouldn't get it but all my girls did. However the camp never phoned once and said they all did great. Then Tashena and Ta'merra went to a week of summer fun at the school. Shaylee was supposed to go but she wanted to tend Sadie instead. Ed and I went to a family reunion and had a wonderful visit. Later Kenzie and I went to Great Falls and shopped. Laura started out with us but had to come home early. We had a motel with a pool and hot tub one night which greatly helped my aching back a lot. I was very disappointed in the material selection which is what I wanted but I managed to spend money and finish up some of the kids for christmas. Had a nice visit with LaVerle and Kaylani on the way home and then more shoppiong in Lethbridge for Kenzie. I mostly sat on benches in the hallways and read while she shopped. When we were done we came out unlocked the car started the airconditioning and shut the doors while we put stuff in the trunk. Some reason the doors locked!!!!! It was hot and we aited probably 45 mionutes for a guy to take 1 minute to open it for us- $35 later!!!!

Birthday flowers and Mckenzie took me to dinner and the show Mama Mia.

Ode to my Best Friend:
I have moved a lot. Before I left home I had moved over 30 times. Every new house, every new ward, every new town, I had to start all over making new friends. I am not an outgoing person and talking to new people is very difficult for me. I don’t like a lot of acquaintances, I prefer one or two deep, long lasting friendships. I have one particular friendship that has lasted through all the moves and is very precious. It all started the day I was born. I was such a cute little girl and I was thoroughly doted upon by you, Aunt Darlene. I like being doted upon. You did a great job. Over the years you dressed me up, took me places, talked to me, listened to me, fed me, and encouraged me. I remember when you worked at a hamburger joint in Cardston. I loved walking down town knowing you would always be glad to see me and let me help and feed me.
You are a nurturer and have nurtured our friendship through thick and thin. My thinnest was probably the day I was born, and my thickest was nine months pregnant. You listen to me whine, remind me why babies were soooooo cute, and give me adorable baby blankets. As my babies came you have helped tend them, given me advice and encouragement and second hand clothes. When I try something new or create something or buy something, you are wonderful at oooohs and ahhhs.

Weddings, reunions, holidays, vacations, and everyday phone calls are all entwined with the memories of you being there. I remember when I was elementary school one of my favorite memories is lying on your purple bedspread in your room in the basement with the window open and a slight breeze blowing while I read a book. Over the years we have shared many books and favorite authors. And quilt patterns. The very first quilt I made I made in high school was using a pattern that you made with Love Is cartoons and red and white fabric. My husband loved the quilt. My son Brett did too. Between them both they loved it literally to pieces! I had to make another one. This time my daughter requested that I put clothes on the cartoon people though, please. Dave loved that one, too. You have helped me finish so many of my quilts. I will work on the tops throughout several years and then you are so wonderful and come down and help me quilt them. All right, all right, you quilt them while I run around chasing kids and dishes.
Now that you don’t live in Utah, I don’t go there anymore. It just isn’t the same.
I am so glad that the phone company has a great flat rate to Canada.
Happy Birthday
Love Leslie

In the pictures of the girls it is Ta"merra-6, Tashena-9 Mckenzie-15 me, and Shaylee-8
I am back from shopping in the states with dd while my other kids were at a week long bible camp. First to explain the family pictures. The one of just the boys are the oldest to youngest starting from right to left. Jared-31, James-29, Daniel-27, Michael-24, Shane- 21 ( brendan missing -20) Colter-18. Treydon -6 opn dads lap and Josh 11. Right now all the boys and their wifes live near me but by the end of summer Michael, Colt and Shane will be gone. In the pictures of the younger kids I got in the mood to do a photo shot ( i have never done before) so we went out and played around. I am hooked now and want to do it some more. My favorite is the close up one with the yellow flowers. This week I will have two of my littleist grandchildren and I am going to have dd help me take a bunch of pictures of them and see what we come up with. In the states I didn't find much material which i was really disappointed but i did some Christmas shopping and finished up a couple of the kids. Dd found her "brand name "clothes at sopme really good prices. We stayed at a motel with a pool and dd (15) and I played around in it and the hot tub. Back in canada we visited my sister LaVerle and some nieces. We shopped in Lethbridge for a few hours. We came out and started the car to get it cooled off and shut the doors to put stuff in the trunk and somehow the doors all locked?!?!?! We waited anout 35 minutes for a tow truck with the car running. When we got home Ed ( hubby) had put a new floor on the litchen. It lookks like wood, it looks really nice. The four little ones were still at camp. It was very quiet at church for our family! I am really excited about different quilt top patterns I got. I am making a quit top from what was left from another top and it is of necessity pieced and i am doing different sizes of pieces that add up to an 11 inch block. Will post a picture when its done. It is so-o-o-o hot in my house I hauled my material and cutting board downstairs to work on it in my sons room. When he gets home he will not be pleased to not be able to walk in his room. Oh well you snooze you lose. He is off with his girl friend.
